ALBAWABA- A UN source informed Reuters that the Israeli army fired at three United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) sites in southern Lebanon. 

According to UNIFIL, two soldiers were injured when an Israeli Merkava tank shelled a watchtower at their headquarters. Additionally, an Israeli drone targeted the area near the town of Karak in eastern Bekaa.

In a statement on X, UNIFIL warned Israeli forces against continued violations of international law: "We remind the IDF and all parties of their obligations to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property, and to respect the inviolability of UN premises at all times.

UNIFIL peacekeepers are in southern Lebanon to support the return to stability under the Security Council mandate."

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching missile salvos at the Karmiel settlement and targeting an Israeli force attempting to evacuate wounded personnel from a vehicle hit in Ras al-Naqoura. 

Israeli media reported that around 100 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards Kiryat Shmona and surrounding areas, with 10 missiles in the most recent barrage aimed at Karmiel.

The Israeli Fire and Rescue Authority reported fires breaking out in the town of Manara due to missile strikes. Meanwhile, the Israeli Ministry of Defense recorded 1,645 incidents of damage to buildings and public property in towns along the Lebanon border over the past year, underscoring the intensifying cross-border hostilities.
