ALBAWABA - Israeli police said they found ex-Military Advocate-General Maj.-Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, after an hour of searching.
The police's statement confirmed that Israeli top attorney Tomer-Yerushalmi was found alive and unharmed at a beach in north Tel Aviv.
Israeli authorities spent an hour searching after her family reported her missing on Sunday. Earlier, the police found her car near the beach with a letter inside at Hatzuk Beach in northern Tel Aviv.
According to some media sources, Israeli former Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi was accused of leaking videos showing Israeli soldiers torturing and sexually assaulting Palestinian prisoners.
In her resignation letter, Tomer-Yerushalmi said she had approved leaking a video to N12 News of Israeli soldiers reportedly sexually assaulting a Palestinian prisoner.
She wrote, "I approved the leaking of evidence to the media in an attempt to confront the false propaganda against the law enforcement officials in the military. I take full responsibility for all of the evidence that was sent out to the media by this unit. Based on this responsibility, I have also decided to conclude my role as the MAG."
