ALBAWABA - Hamas spokesperson Osama Hamdan finally revealed the fate of the leader of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the movement's military wing, Mohammed Deif, following Israeli allegations of his assassination.

Weeks ago, Israel claimed the killing of Mohammed Deif, the leader of Al-Qassam Brigades, in an Israeli airstrike in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.

Hamdan confirmed that Mohammed Deif is "fine" and that he was not killed as some Israeli sources claimed.

The Hamas spokesperson also revealed that the announcement by Israel on the killing of Deif is only to "justify the massacre committed by the Israelis in Khan Yunis at the same time."

Hamdan explained that the "massacre committed" by the Israeli army was in the area that the army declared as a "safe zone".
