ALBAWABA - As the 60-day ceasefire between the United States and Iran ended with no breakthrough towards a full peace deal, Erem News reported, citing informed sources, that the U.S. is preparing a new, urgent plan to defeat Iran.
Informed U.S. diplomatic sources explained that President Donald Trump asked the CIA to implement an urgent plan against the Iranian regime.
This plan is based on two parallel tracks: first, undermining the credibility of its leaders within Iran and tightening the economic noose around Tehran.
According to the sources, the plan aims to escalate the confrontation with Tehran beyond traditional sanctions by targeting the regime's image among its social base and Iranian public opinion.
Furthermore, the American government seeks to restrict the room for maneuver available to companies, banks, and intermediaries that Tehran relies on to circumvent U.S. restrictions.

One of the proposed approaches involves exposing what Washington describes as the regime's failures and internal cracks, and disseminating this information to the Iranian public through Persian-language media outlets, whether existing platforms or new ones.
It is worth noting that the 60-day negotiation period agreed in the U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed on June 17, 2026, expired without a broader long-term peace deal or a formal extension.
Both sides exchanged blame over alleged violations, as the Strait of Hormuz, the critical waterway from the Gulf to the world for fuel and oil exports, remains closed.
