It's been a tumultuous year for resigned Egyptian actress Hannan Turk - from the joys of wedding bells as she said "I do" to her Mr., to getting put on the UAE's "terrorist threat" list and banned from entry, to now the deep sorrow of saying goodbye to her mother.
Artist Murad Fikri wrote on online website, “Only He remains, mother of artist Hannan Turk has passed away.”
According to Laha magazine, actor Mohammad Ramadan also wrote, “Mother of my dear sister Hannan Turk has passed away. May God rests her soul in peace. May God give her family patience to overcome their grief.”
A funeral ceremony will be held in Cairo at the Al Rashdan Mosque and it is not known if celebrities will attend, especially after Hannan had resigned from her acting career and married a man linked to the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood organization.
