When Egyptian actress, Hannan Turk, annouced her decision to retire last year, the entertainment world was left reeling from her departure. Critics were united in praise for her performances but the star was clear: her newly found religious views weren't on the same page as the daring parts she was being asked to take.
Hanan told reporters at the time that she intended to devote her life to good deeds, away from the spotlight. However, this week fans were in for another shock when Al Yawm Al Sabi website reported that the "retired" star was intending to return to acting.
According to the site, Hannan has had a hard time letting go of her old career and will be returning to the small screen gradually. The last drama she starred in was “Al Ukht Teresa” (Sister Teresa) that was aired during the Ramadan season of 2012.
