Lebanese actress Qamar denied rumors circulating of late that she had lost in the paternity law suit against Egyptian business man Jamal Marwan. She claims that the DNA results should resolve any remaining doubt on the matter.
During a televised interview on the show "Sorry, Bas", (Sorry, But) the Lebanese star protested her story, "I did not lose in the law suit I filed against Jamal Marwan. All that is being said about the case is not true". She defended herself, "I postponed the last hearing because the documents of my witnesses were not ready, so they could not attend the proceedings. There will be another hearing on the 20th of May. My witnesses will be there and I will win".
The singer who has turned to acting lately mentioned during her appearance on OTV, the Lebanese satellite network channel, that God was on her side. She has extreme faith in Him and is confident "He will show everyone the truth when the time is right", so that she may be vindicated and expose Marwan as the father of her child.
In regards to the shortly scheduled DNA test, Qamar assured her supporters that the results of the case would support her. She also stated that she is would sue everyone who claimed paternity of her son. She will not waive away any of her rights until those responsible for the slander are jailed for tarnishing her honor.
In her closing statement to "Sorry Bas", the Lebanese star confirmed her only disappointment was due to the fact that everyone abandoned her in her time of hardship. She also mentioned that the Lebanese government did not support her as much as the Egyptian government. She added, revealingsly, that she does not want any female artists to be counted as her friend, no matter who they were.
