Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh received in Sanaa on Monday the head of the German Parliamentary delegation which is currently visiting the Arab country.
According to the official Yemeni agency, SABA, Saleh confirmed during the meeting the importance of the European role in the Middle-East peace process to find a just solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict based on International resolutions.
He noted that achieving just and comprehensive peace depends on the establishing of the Palestinian independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting also discussed bilateral relations and cooperation particularly in parliamentary fields, in addition to several regional and international developments including the situation in the Middle-East, the situation in Iraq and the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, said the agency.
