ALBAWABA - Iran will possibly respond to the U.S. proposal to end the war on Thursday, May 7th, sources told CNN.
Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington had "very good talks" with Tehran during the past 24 hours and the two countries are moving closer to striking a deal on a short memorandum.
The CNN reported that approximately 1,600 ships are still stranded near the Strait of Hormuz, with shipping companies facing an expensive and risky situation to pass amid Iran's closure during the past two months.
Trump launched Operation "Project Freedom" to help guide ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, but he suspended it after 48 hours, having succeeded in taking only two ships out.

After President Donald Trump's announcement to suspend operation "Project Freedom" in the Strait of Hormuz, a Pakistani source said Wednesday that Tehran and Washington are nearing a final agreement.
Axios said, citing officials, that the Trump government and Tehran are close to agreeing on a one-page memorandum to finalize the conflict that erupted on Feb. 28 and lasted for 40 days.
Talks would discuss the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, limiting Iran's nuclear program and lifting U.S. sanctions imposed on Tehran.
