Syrian foreign minister Farouq al-Shara voiced his hope Sunday that India and Pakistan avert military confrontation and solve their disputes via dialogue and peaceful methods.
His remark came during a meeting between al-Shara and an Indian parliamentary delegation, headed by chairman of the foreign affairs committee, said agencies.
Both sides discussed regional and international issues, as the Indian delegation detailed Shara over the situation in the Indian sub-continent in the wake of the dispute with Pakistan.
The Indian delegation met with Syrian parliament speaker on Saturday and discussed the holding of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) due in Morocco next April. (Albawaba.com)
