Samsung Gulf Electronics, the global leader in telecommunications and digital convergence technology, today previewed an extraordinary product portfolio for 2006, led by its most diverse and advanced slim phones - the SGH-D820, SGH-P300 and SGH-Z540. Incorporated with innovative design elements, Samsung expects the new slim phones to establish a new design benchmark for the Middle East mobile phones industry.
The new phones are available in slide-up, card-size bar type and clamshell designs and come bundled with rich features in an extra-slim body that ranges from 8.9mm to 14.8mm. The slim phones are scheduled for launch in the Middle East region by the second Quarter of this year.

At a depth of 14.8 mm, the SGH-D820 is slim slide-up phone with a full line-up of multimedia features. It features a wide (2.12-inch) high resolution (QVGA) LCD screen which is the largest available in the market. With Quad Band capability, the SGH-D820 is functional across all GSM frequency bands. It also supports microSD external memory and has a rotating 1.3 Megapixel camera. TV out and document viewer – unique features offered by Samsung are also part of the array of features being offered by the D820. With its modern, premium exterior design, the phone is the best fit for sophisticated business users who desire top-quality features with a stylish and sleek appearance.
