Brazil snatched a stunning 2-1 win in the dying moments of the game against Japan today at the Houston stadium, in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Japanese team played a perfect first half in terms of defensive organization and counter-attacks. They managed to score and take the lead over Brazil, ending the half 1-0.

Match Highlights and Goals

Japan kept the same tactics and defensive solidity at the start of the second half. However, the Brazilian team, led by Carlo Ancelotti, came out looking different. They were the better and more dangerous side in the second half, taking advantage of long crosses.

Kaishu Sano opened the scoring for Japan in the 29th minute with a brilliant shot past Alisson Becker. Brazil then came back and equalized in the second half when Casemiro headed in a cross in the 56th minute.

Brazil kept the pressure on while Japan dropped back, failing to threaten the Brazilian goal at all in the second half. Then the Brazilian team snatched the win in the last minute after a great pass from Bruno Guimaraes found Gabriel Martinelli, who finished it perfectly, sending Brazil to the Round of 16.
