ALBAWABA - Kuwait's Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday the death of a young girl from shrapnel wounds.

Ministry spokesperson Abdullah Al-Sanad stated that Al-Amiri Hospital received an 11-year-old girl, a resident of the country, via its emergency medical services. She had been injured by shrapnel in a residential area in the Capital Governorate.

Al-Sanad explained that emergency medical teams immediately responded to the scene upon receiving the report. Resuscitation efforts were performed in the ambulance while the girl was being transported to the hospital.

These efforts continued for approximately half an hour after her arrival at Al-Amiri Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.

He added that four family members, including the girl's mother, are currently undergoing medical evaluation and are under observation at the hospital to ensure their well-being and monitor their health.
