ALBAWABA - According to Iranian state television via Reuters, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei warned the U.S. and Israel of a “decisive response” to their recent moves against Iran.

Israel bombed Iranian military sites in retaliation to an Iranian missile assault on Israel, raising tensions. After an Israeli bombing on the Iranian embassy in Syria and the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the exchange started.

According to Mehr News Agency, Khamenei said, “We will take all necessary steps to counter global arrogance, whether militarily, politically, or through arms. The Iranian people and leadership will never surrender to international tyranny and the criminal government ruling the world.”

The Wall Street Journal reported today that Israeli airstrikes last month destroyed major Iranian air defenses and damaged missile development sites, increasing Iran's dangers if it attacked Israel again.

Israel attacked Iran's Parchin military base, which makes solid-fuel missiles, and the Revolutionary Guard's Shahroud ballistic missile and space center on October 26. Russian S-300 air defense systems were also damaged by the bombings.

Western authorities say Iran has hundreds of missiles that can harm Israel if they evade Israeli defenses. However, damage to Iran's air defense systems would allow Israel to target energy infrastructure and perhaps nuclear facilities.

In another event, the Pentagon revealed Friday that the US would send more military assets to the Middle East in the coming months as a “defensive measure” to defend Israel and deter Iran.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned that Iran, its allies, or linked forces would be retaliated immediately if they targeted US soldiers or interests in the area.

Ballistic missile defenses, fighter planes, B-52 bombers, and other military aircraft are being added to boost regional stability and US commitments to allies.
