ALBAWABA - Massive outrage in India following the heartbreaking story of a young girl who was gang raped and killed in West Bengal's Baruipur days ago.

An 11-year-old girl's gang rape and killing was pre-planned, the police in India confirmed. Three people, including the alleged kingpin Ananda Sardar, were arrested with links to the horrific incident.

Her family reported that their daughter went missing on Saturday after she went to buy a birthday gift for a friend in South 24 Parganas' Baruipur.

The police found her body one day later and reported injuries in her private parts, scratches and bite marks, in addition to a serious injury in her head.

The police in India detailed that it appeared that the 11-year-old was attacked on the head with a blunt object.

According to NDTV, Ananda Sardar, Pravash Mndal, and Dibakar Sardar have confessed to the crime.

Police probe showed that one of the accused had taken the little girl to a spot while the two others were waiting to commit their crime. After sexually assaulting her, they placed her in a sack and threw it in a pond.

The news caused massive shock in the region in India, as after the finding of the girl's body, a young man, identified as Indranath Tanti, was beaten to death after being suspected of involvement in the murder. However, the police denied that the man was one of the accused.

"From what I have learned from the police, the young man was innocent. None of those who beat the innocent Indranath to death will be spared," Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced.
