France got a well-deserved 2-0 win today against Morocco at the Gillette Stadium in Boston, USA, in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
France was the better team and controlled the game in all areas: attack, defense, and midfield. On the other hand, Morocco did not play as expected. They were not dangerous and only threatened the French goal once through Azzedine Ounahi. In the end, the better team won.

In the first half, France was very dangerous. Because of their strong attacks, they got a penalty kick after Noussair Mazraoui fouled Kylian Mbappe.
Kylian Mbappe stepped up to take the penalty in the 28th minute. However, the great goalkeeper Yassine Bounou saved it. He also saved other shots to keep a clean sheet for Morocco, and the first half ended with no goals.
In the second half, France opened the scoring through Kylian Mbappe. He hit a great and difficult shot past the goalkeeper to score the first goal in the 60th minute. Shortly after, in the 66th minute, his teammate Ousmane Dembele doubled the lead and scored the second goal with another great shot.
With this result, France goes through to the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup. They will face the winner of the Spain and Belgium match, which will be played tomorrow at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA.
