ALBAWABA - In a brutal targeting of northern Gaza, Israeli forces killed journalist Hassan Hamad in a strike on his home in Jabalia refugee camp.

Six Palestinians were killed and several more were injured on Sunday as a result of Israeli bombings and artillery raids on Jabalia, Rafah, and Al-Zawaida, which coincided with a military invasion into eastern Jabalia, trapping scores of families.

Following an Israeli bombardment on the Al-Imam Al-Shafi'i School in Gaza City's Samir neighborhood, rescue teams reported rescuing one dead and five injured persons. Victims were transferred to the city's Al-Ahli Arab Hospital.

In addition, two additional Palestinians were killed and several injured in an Israeli hit on the Ibn Rushd School in Al-Zawaida, central Gaza Strip.

Given the ferocity of Israel's strikes in the northern Gaza Strip, particularly in the late hours of Saturday, the Civil Defense stated that its crews were "unable to respond to the needs of the large number of residential homes targeted by the Israeli occupation."

Israeli jets launched multiple strikes on Gaza's northeastern neighborhoods, as well as fire belts in the northwest.

Additionally, Israeli troops attacked the Tal al-Zaatar neighborhood of the Jabalia refugee camp, while its artillery hit the camp's eastern and northern parts and threw smoke bombs at residences.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 41,825+ people, with more than 96,910+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
