ALBAWABA - According to the Palestinian News Agency WAFA, Israeli forces set refugees' tents ablaze killing at least seven people in Gaza’s al-Mawasi "humanitarian zone".
WAFA reported that Israeli troops attacked tents in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, as well as residences in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Al Jazeera reported that an aerial strike on a home in Gaza City killed six people, including women and children.
Israeli troops also attacked the Saudi neighborhood west of Rafah in southern Gaza and numerous houses in al-Mughraqa, north of the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, although no deaths were reported.
A report by Axios revealed that a high-profile meeting between US and Israeli officials was canceled after it was scheduled for Thursday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the Biden administration for "withholding military aid to Israel".
Following Netanyahu's outburst, the US confirmed that it had continued to send weapons to Israel. "This decision makes it clear that there are consequences for pulling such stunts," one US official said.
According to American and Israeli sources, US President Joe Biden's senior staff members were "enraged" by the film, which was personally given to Netanyahu by presidential envoy Amos Hochstein.
The Axios report revealed, citing a US source, that the meeting was just postponed due to scheduling problems despite the conflicting statements from several US officials saying that it had been canceled to send a message to Netanyahu.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 37,372+ people, with more than 85,452+ injuries.
Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
