ALBAWABA- A wave of intense Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple locations in Lebanon today, including Burj al-Barajneh in Beirut's Southern Suburb, and several areas in the southern and eastern parts of the country.
In the Southern Suburb, the strikes hit residential buildings in Haret Hreik, as well as Sarafand, Bazourieh, and Qasimiyah in southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, additional Israeli strikes hit Baalbek, Nasiriyah, and Younin in the eastern Bekaa region.
According to the Baalbek-Hermel Governor, the raids have left 30 people dead and 35 injured, marking a severe escalation in the ongoing conflict.
The attacks follow a brief lull over the past few days, reigniting the violence with renewed force.
Hours before the latest airstrikes, Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassim addressed the ongoing hostilities, stating that the Lebanese resistance has been defending against Israel for over a month and a half.
While acknowledging Israel’s technological and airforce superiority, Naimi vowed that Hezbollah's tens of thousands of fighters were prepared to counter any Israeli advances, pledging not to let Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu claim victory.
Following the attacks, sirens were reported in the eastern suburbs of Tel Aviv, and explosions were reportedly heard, with the Israeli military confirming rocket fire from Lebanon that activated sirens across several central regions in Israel.
As a result, multiple large fires raged in Avivim, Northern Israel, following a barrage of over 50 rockets launched from Lebanon. Several rockets struck the town, igniting breweries and alcohol warehouses.
