ALBAWABA- In a statement, Houthi military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced two significant attacks by the Houthi Yemeni Armed Forces: one targeting the U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham in the Arabian Sea with cruise missiles and drones, and another on two U.S. destroyers in the Red Sea with ballistic missiles and drones.

In his statement, Saree held the U.S. and U.K. responsible for escalating military tensions in the Red Sea and warned of the impact on maritime navigation.

This escalation follows intensified Houthi missile and drone strikes against both U.S. and Israeli targets, reportedly in retaliation for recent U.S. airstrikes on various locations in Yemen, including Hodeida, Amran, Sa’dah, Sana’a, Dhamar, and Hajjah.

In addition, the U.S. and U.K. have conducted dozens of airstrikes over the past 48 hours in an attempt to counter Houthi operations in the Red and Arabian Seas, citing defense support for Gaza.

The Houthis also claimed responsibility for a hypersonic missile strike on Israel’s Yafa, marking their third such strike on Israeli targets this week.
