Tunisia's 51st annual arts and culture festival continues until 18 August, and features a little something for everyone - classical, flamenco, R&B...and for the fangirls, Mohammed Assaf!
Lebanon's king of romance Wael Kfoury took to the stage last night. His performance was streamed live and he posted a pic of the appreciative crowd on the Festival's facebook page.
American R&B singer Lauryn Hill, who cancelled her concert in Tel Aviv two months ago due to BDS pressure, will perform on 21 July. On August 9th we hope to see a repeat of Akon's crowdsurfing in a giant orb at the Mawazine Festival.
Palestinian heartthrob Mohammed Assaf will set pulses racing on 26 July. The Arab Idol winner released a video wishing his 'beloved' Tunisian fans a Blessed Ramadan and Happy Eid, and expressed his excitement to perform in Carthage.
Last year's festival featured Nancy Ajram, Carole Samaha, Youssour N'dour, Chirine Abdelwahab, Yanni and George Benson.
Tickets are available on the Festival's official website!
