ALBAWABA - X Platform has unveiled a new feature aimed at content creators, presenting a direct challenge to YouTube's dominance in the online video space. Led by Elon Musk, the platform is introducing enhancements to boost advertising revenue.

Advertisers can now showcase pre-roll video ads through selected top creators on X. Revenue generated from these ads will be distributed among various parties, although specific details regarding the revenue-sharing structure remain undisclosed.

These ads will be displayed on both main timelines and individual creator accounts, with plans to expand ad placement options in the near future. X's revenue-sharing model will compete with that of YouTube, which currently offers eligible creators 55% of ad revenue.

CEO Linda Yacarino disclosed that X recently made a significant $20 million payout to creators, signaling the platform's commitment to supporting content creators. Popular creators like Jimmy Donaldson, known as Mr. Beast, have already capitalized on X's video platform, earning substantial revenue from their content.

X's video division has witnessed rapid growth, attracting notable figures and securing exclusive partnerships. According to Bloomberg, the platform's ad revenue exceeded $600 million in each quarter of the past year.

However, X faced criticism in the previous year when several major advertisers withdrew their support following a controversial tweet from Musk. Despite this, the platform's latest move represents a significant development in the digital landscape, offering content creators new opportunities for increased earnings.
