Orange Jordan recently renewed its sponsorship for the collaborative initiative between the Jordan United Football Academy (JUFA) and the Hungarian Premier Football Club PECSI MFC, in an initiative granting a talented Jordanian player the opportunity to fulfill his dream of signing a contract with a Hungarian Football club and playing professional football.

The initiative was geared towards discovering hidden football talents amongst youth aged 15 to 23 in Jordan, over a two-week tryout period held across different governorates in Jordan (Irbid, Al-Zarqa, Al-Aqaba, Amman). Within this phase, all the candidates went through a series of football tests. A group of the candidates then qualified for the final phase that was held in Amman, out of which one demonstrating exceptional talent was granted a chance to train in Hungary.

Following the final qualifiers, a press conference was held to announce the results. A representative from the Hungarian club attended the event to congratulate winner Mohammad Arqoub from the Jordan Youth Club. Within the same conference Mohammad signed a contract, granting him the right to be trained by experts from Hungary for five months.

“We are always keen to support initiatives that aim to nurture and develop the Jordanian youth talents.”, said CEO of Orange Jordan Jean-Francois Thomas “we believe that these Jordanian talents deserve to be recognized and supported, and they must be granted the opportunity to train with the Hungarian experts in an aim to make Jordan to stand out on the international map of sports.”

It is worth noting that Orange Jordan is the exclusive telecommunications sponsor for the Jordan National Team and the women’s football leagues.
