ALBAWABA - In an announcement by the French transportation company CMA CGM, it has been stated that all shipments in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, which are connected by the Bab el-Mandab Strait, have been suspended due to the ongoing conflicts between Houthis in Yemen and US forces.
While the Iran-backed Houthi attacks on commercial ships persist in Yemen, another company has suspended shipments made through the Red Sea. In a statement by the French transportation company CMA CGM, it was mentioned that all shipments on the Bab el-Mandab Strait, connecting the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, have been suspended due to the ongoing conflicts between US forces and Houthis.
The Houthi militants in Yemen launches several attacks on ships crossing the Red Sea through the Baba Al-Mandab strait in response to the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Later in December, the U.S. announced forming an international coalition aimed at curbing the Houthi attacks toward any vessels and ships headed towards Israel.
In the latest series of coalition strikes, U.S. CENTCOM reported that alongside the UK Armed Forces, and with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands, conducted strikes on 8 Houthi targets in Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist-controlled areas of Yemen.
The targets included missile systems and launchers, air defense systems, radars, and deeply buried weapons storage facilities.
