Information Affairs Authority (IAA) president Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa yesterday stressed that the authority placed considerable care towards training being an important factor in the development of media capabilities, along with encouraging creativity. This, he said, was in harmony with the IAA's media strategy and Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. He also stressed that the IAA was continuing efforts to attain the best global expertise for Bahraini media cadres.
Shaikh Fawaz was speaking during an honouring ceremony at the Golf Club for the participants in training programmes organised by the IAA in co-operation with media training establishment twofour54.
Forty-five employees from various departments of the IAA took part in the programmes which lasted six months. Training was held for correspondents, cameramen, video technicians and productions and news readers.
Shaikh Fawaz praised them for their efforts during training and said the IAA would continue to encourage the development of national cadres in the media field. Such training programmes help improve and develop talent, Shaikh Fawaz added, twofour54 media development director David Hardaker lauded the care for media personnel and their expertise in latest technologies. He said the establishment was proud of working with the IAA and was looking forward to more co-operation.
