The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s 36th Handball Cup Winners Championship was launched on Tuesday at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
The championship is hosted by the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex during the period March 1-10, according to Oman News Agency (ONA).
Sayyid Salim bin Musallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Development Affairs, sponsored the opening ceremony of the championship in the presence of a number of officials, as well as heads of the participating delegations.
Al Busaidi said in his speech that the Gulf Championships are an important factor to enhance the technical level of the clubs , gain experience and develop the technical levels of players in order to qualify to compete at the level of Asian and international tournaments, ONA reported.
