Egypt has unearthed old treasures which were discovered at the Saqqara archaeological site near Cairo. The treasures include a sarcophagi that is over 3,000 years old.
As of late Egypt has been unveiling much antiques and ancient treasures that is believed to be a "rewrite of history", according to famed Egyptologist Zahi Hawass.
UNESCO has placed the Saqqara region on the World Heritage List, which is a vast necropolis of the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis and the home to over a dozen pyramids, ancient monasteries, and animal burial sites.
On Sunday, Jan. 17th, an archaeological team left to take out the treasures which were discovered by Hawass near the pyramid of King Teti, the first pharaoh of the Sixth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom.
