FTA Participates in 7th UAE National Sports Day With a Full Agenda of Athletic Activities

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) organised a series of sports activities as part of its participation in the 7th UAE National Sports Day under the theme ‘The UAE Unites Us’.
UAE National Sports Day is held every year in line with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, to set aside a full day where athletic, physical, and heritage activities are practised.
To mark the national occasion, the Authority put together an agenda of sports activities for its team to take part in, including bicycle racing, walking, and other sports activities, with the Nad Al Sheba area acting as the starting line. Prizes were handed out to participants and the activities helped promote positive vibes among FTA staff. The Authority sought to promote a culture of sports among its employees and encourage them to make sports a part of their daily lives, given the positive role it plays in sustaining physical and mental health.
FTA Director General His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani said that the sports activities the FTA has organised reported significant turnout among the Authority’s employees who exhibited great enthusiasm and a positive spirit.
“The Authority’s participation in this important national occasion helped support the initiative to achieve its objectives, raise public awareness of the importance of sports in our lives and its role in ensuring the health and safety of the community,” H.E. added. “UAE National Sports Day reflects the national values and the core principles of our society, and aligns with the wise leadership’s directives to promote positive concepts and habits among all segments of the community, and underline the harmony that exists between diverse cultures coexisting within Emirati society.”
