Orange Jordan receives honorary plaque

Orange Jordan’s CEO Mrs. Nayla Khawam received an honorary plaque from the General Director of Tkiyet Um Ali, Mr. Mahmoud Al Sharif, in recognition of the successes achieved through the partnership between both parties over the past six years, spearheaded by the many charity projects that benefited underprivileged families around the kingdom.
During the meeting, which took place at the company’s headquarters, the two parties discussed last year’s projects as well as cooperation schemes for this year through several programs and initiatives. This stems from the fact that the company’s charity activities extend beyond the Holy Month of Ramadan to cover the entire year, surpassing food and poverty initiatives to include the use of Orange’s product lineup to empower Tkiyet Um Ali’s various programs.
Khawam and Al Sharif shed light on the four projects launched last year by both parties, which included the distribution of food packages, holding fixed and mobile charity banquets in Eastern Amman, Takaya charity markets in Al Mahatta, and supporting Tkiyet Um Ali’s call center. The last five years witnessed seven fixed charity banquets and the distribution of more than 1,200 food packages and 6,000 meals to needy families in major poverty pockets in the Kingdom.
Furthermore, Orange Jordan established Takaya charity markets as part of Tkiyet Um Ali’s Ramadan campaign “Akrem wa Ate’m”. The concept of the market is to provide monthly food supply to 700 needy families throughout the year, according to standards specified by a field study.
Orange Jordan’s CEO expressed her gratitude to Tkiyet Um Ali for this step and underscored the successful partnership between the organization and Orange Jordan, praising the initiatives that delivered immense benefits to needy families in the Kingdom. Khawam stressed that Orange Jordan will continue supporting Tkiyet Um Ali’s programs as this comes as part of the company’s plans for this year.
