ALBAWABA - Zara was rebuked and accused of promoting its new limited-edition collection by imitating the suffering and destruction in Gaza caused by Israeli airstrikes.

In its latest photos shared on Instagram, Zara announced releasing its latest limited-edition collection, however, activists accused the giant fashion house of making money using the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.

On Instagram, Zara posted several photos and wrote: "ZARA ATELIER. Collection 04_The Jacket."

"A limited edition collection from the house celebrating our commitment to craftsmanship and passion for artistic expression."

In one of the photos shared on Zara's Instagram, a model wearing Zara's new collection piece was seen in the middle of ruins.

In another picture, Zara's model was spotted holding a mannequin which was covered in white plastic wrap, which many pro-Palestinians blasted saying the famous fashion house is "mocking" Palestinian deaths.

Zara after the heavy backlash it gained online, eventually deleted one of the posts it shared on its instagram.

Pro-Palestinian advocates immediately reaffirmed their stance in boycotting the brand; a person wrote: "Boycott Zara if you haven’t yet! They announced their new collection using the 'genocide' in #Gaza."

The number of Palestinians killed in Israeli aggressive attacks on the Gaza Strip has jumped to 17,700, with 48,780 injured since Oct. 7, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza revealed.
