ALBAWABA - The Washington Post reported Monday, citing a U.S. official and other familiar sources, that due to Iranian threats, U.S. President Donald Trump had to secretly leave Turkey in a small Air Force plane.
Trump, who was seen on TV entering the older Air Force One plane, but after cameras were away, he and close aides were quietly transferred minutes later using an airport catering truck to a smaller Air Force C-32A, The Washington Post detailed.
This came one night after the U.S. military renewed attacks on Tehran after a collapse in peace talks, and Trump visited Ankara to attend the NATO summit from July 7-8 along with other world leaders.
But when he was allegedly threatened by Iran, he used this trick to hide from the public eye.
Iran mocks Trump's secret departure from Turkey:
The Iranian Embassy in Armenia posted a short AI clip mocking the U.S. president for using a catering truck to secretly get transferred to another plane and leave Ankara for Washington.
It wrote on X, "Washington Post: Trump underwent an elaborate plan to hide his flight from Turkey to the United Kingdom last month using a catering food truck amid Iran threat."
In the clip, Trump was seen inside a catering truck surrounded by vegetables and food, hiding from cameras that were seen in the back. It also wrote on the video 'Operation: Catering Escape'.
