ALBAWABA - New leaks emerged that U.S. President Donald Trump secretly left from Turkey during the NATO summit last month amid assassination threats by Iran, due to the continued tension between Washington and Tehran.
Despite the White House publicly saying Trump left on board Air Force One, the president secretly departed from Ankara back to the U.S. on a military aircraft last month amid an alleged Iranian assassination threat, The Washington Post reported Monday, citing a U.S. official and other familiar sources.
Trump, who was seen on TV entering the older Air Force One plane, was quietly transferred minutes later using an airport catering truck to a smaller Air Force C-32A, The Washington Post detailed.
This came one night after the U.S. Army renewed attacks on Tehran after a collapse in peace talks, and Trump visited Turkey to attend the NATO summit from July 7-8 along with other world leaders.
But when he was allegedly threatened by Iran, he used this trick to hide from the public eye.
