ALBAWABA - A picture of Ahmad al-Sharaa, known as Abu Mohammed al-Golani, the leader of Syria's opposition group Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), made a buzz online.

Many people reposted the picture where al-Golani appeared looking away with unclear needlework spotted on the back of his outfit raising questions about the company and the place of its origin.

An X user, named Azeem Sabzwari, posted the photo with a zoom of al-Golani's olive-colored uniform and claimed the company that designed it was 'SOURCE,' Israel’s largest tactical gear manufacturer and exporter.

Azeem Sabzwari allegedly wrote: "A friend posted on FB: I saw this and immediately zoomed in on the label this morning. I kept researching until I found this result. @SourceTactical."

The X user allegedly said that the uniform worn by Ahmad al-Sharaa was made in Israel, however, many people commented and rejected the claim.

A person defended al-Golani by saying they can be purchased cheaply via Amazong and added: "If you don’t know what you’re talking about, it’s best to stay in your lane. Their gear is everywhere, they’re a cheap knockoff company. Initially, it was for airsoft, but now it’s being used on the frontlines in Ukraine and elsewhere."

Another allegedly said that propaganda is now spreading against HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Golani as earlier some claimed he was working with "US Central Command" without any evidence.

In fact, there's no information about the country in which Abu Mohammed al-Golani's uniform was created nor any of the allegations were proven. Currently, much misleading information is being spread online without confirmation amid the unclear situation in Syria.

However, it is worth mentioning that Syria's opposition led by HTS succeeded in toppling Syria’s President Bashar Assad and controlling main cities a few days after announcing an operation against the Syrian regime.
