ALBAWABA - An Iranian state TV channel called "Memri TV" recently turned heads after a live broadcast called for viewers to raise money to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump following Washington and Iran's refusal to extend the ceasefire.
Host Maryam Ghasemi asked viewers how much they are willing to contribute to Trump's assassination. The broadcast was mirrored from another state TV channel called "Qoran TV."
Iranian state TV raises 81 million for killing Trump
The live broadcast on August 15 raised 81 million Iranian Toman (approximately $435) in 10 minutes. The show's guest Iranian businessman Alireza Yunchi also pledged to donate an additional 19 million toman to the crowdfunding, raising the total to 100 million toman (approximately $533).
Ghasemi said, "It is the collective wish of the Iranians that one day, we will announce the news of Trump's death." To which Yunchi responded, "Inshallah."
Additionally, Iranian army chief Amir Hatami recently announced a bounty of $30,000 for anyone who captures or kills an American soldier.
"Anyone who kills or captures and hands over an invading American military personnel will receive a reward equivalent to $30,000 or 5 billion tomans from the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army," said the army chief on Sunday.
