ALBAWABA - Days after losing contact with Esmail Qaani, chief of Quds Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an Iranian source finally spoke out and revealed his fate.
The Iranian media and officials were worried after Esmail Qaani's disappearance in Beirut during his visit to Lebanon following an Israeli strike that targeted Hashem Safieddine in southern Lebanon.
Esmail Qaani became the leader of the Quds Force after the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in an American airstrike in Iraq's Baghdad.
The fate of the Iranian commander was still unknown raising speculations and increasing rumors about whether he was injured or killed in an Israeli strike on Beirut. The New York Times reported citing three unnamed Iranian officials that Qaani was last seen in Beirut last week to assist Hezbollah amid war.
Where is Esmail Qaani, chief of the Quds Force?
Fars News Agency reported on Monday citing and quoting the deputy of IRGC Quds Force that Iranian commander Esmail Qaani "is in good health and continues his work".
However, the deputy commander of the Quds Force didn't reveal more information about the health of Esmail Qaani not if he was injured in the Israeli strike in Beirut last Friday.
Furthermore, the source didn't even reveal the place where Qaani is now wether he is still in Beirut, Lebanon nor if he was moved back to Tehran.
