ALBAWABA - "Do you remember Amina?" social media activists posted a new photo of the Palestinian girl whose eyes turned red in an Israeli attack in Gaza.
A video was captured of Amina Ghanem, 13, with her red eyes as she was suffering from burst blood vessels that affected both of her eyes.
Amina's story caused a buzz online, however, a new photo of the Palestinian girl was shared as she appeared in good health and with eyes recovered after the treatment.
Doha News reported two weeks ago that the 13th patch wounded Palestinians from Gaza were evacuated to Qatar, among the people was Amina Ghanem. The evacuations are part of the country's ongoing mission under an initiative by Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah Al Khater welcomed Amina Ghanem upon her arrival to Qatar as reported by Palestinian photojournalist Belal Khaled, who first posted the child’s story.
The horrific story of Amina Ghanem
Since the start of the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, over 29,000 Palestinians have been killed in aggressive airstrikes and attacks, mostly women and children, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
Many parents were captured on video picking the remaining part of their children in plastic bags in video that echoed and gained the sympathy of the people worldwide.
Amina's story is not super different from other children who suffered from Israeli aggression, According to the 13-year-old Palestinian girl, Israeli tanks had crushed Amina’s house while her family were asleep and ran over the place three to four times.
The crash led to the killing of Amina's father and sister. However, she survived the Israeli attack along with her brother and sister.
