ALBAWABA - In a Qatari initiative, Palestinian child Amina Ghanem arrived in Qatari territory on February 2, 2024, to receive necessary medical treatment after being at risk of losing her eyesight completely. This was a result of her being run over by the wheels of an Israeli tank a few weeks prior.

The transfer of the Palestinian child, Amina, to Qatar was part of the twelfth batch of Palestinian patients on board a military medical evacuation plane.

This is in continuation of an initiative to treat 1500 injured individuals from Gaza, which has been subjected to mass atrocities by the Israeli occupation forces since October 7.

The Palestinian patients, including Amina and her family, were welcomed by Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lolwah Alkhater.

Qatar's initiative to provide medical treatment for Palestinian victims reflects its commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and supporting those affected by the ongoing conflict.

The reception of Amina and others underscores Qatar's dedication to providing aid and assistance to those in need, particularly in the face of challenging circumstances.
