ALBAWABA - Amidst the ongoing investigation into the crash of the IL-76 military transport plane in Russia, the Russian Investigative Committee has released a statement suggesting a shocking revelation. According to the statement, the plane, carrying 74 individuals, including 65 Ukrainian prisoner soldiers, was allegedly targeted by a missile fired from within Ukraine.

As authorities delve into the details of the tragic incident, preliminary findings from the Russian Investigative Committee point towards a missile strike originating from Ukrainian territory. The committee emphasizes an ongoing effort to uncover the identities of those involved in what they term a "terrorist act" carried out by Ukrainian armed formations.

The investigation has not only shed light on the possible source of the attack but has also prompted the committee to release compelling footage related to the crash. The incident has sparked international attention, fueling speculations and diplomatic tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Adding a layer of complexity to the narrative, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesperson Igor Konashenkov made a damning statement, attributing the downing of the military cargo plane to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to Konashenkov, the plane, en route from Chkalovsky to Belgorod Airport for a planned exchange of Ukrainian military personnel, fell victim to a "terrorist act" perpetrated by the Kiev regime.

In a detailed account, Konashenkov highlighted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed an anti-aircraft missile system near the Lyptsi settlement in the Kharkiv region, resulting in the destruction of the aircraft. The spokesperson further accused the Ukrainian government of compromising the agreed-upon prisoner exchange and putting the lives of its citizens at risk.

As the investigation unfolds, the controversy surrounding the plane crash deepens, with both Russia and Ukraine engaged in a war of words, each vehemently denying the allegations made by the other. The international community closely watches the developments, awaiting further details from the ongoing investigation.
