ALBAWABA - Two Palestinians, including a child, were injured during intense clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and the Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank, according to local sources.

The confrontations reportedly led to a fire engulfing a house, while explosions and gunfire echoed in the Al-Damaj neighborhood as PA forces attempted to enter the camp.

The Jenin Camp Media Committee accused the PA of maintaining a 39-day siege, restricting civilian movement, and turning homes into military outposts. The committee called for urgent intervention from human rights organizations to halt the violations, stating that PA forces fired projectiles at civilian homes, causing destruction and injuries.

The PA security forces launched a military operation in the camp last month, claiming to target "outlaws." However, several Palestinian factions, including Hamas, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Islamic Jihad, accused the PA of suppressing resistance fighters.

The ongoing violence has resulted in the deaths of six security officers and eight civilians, including a prominent leader from the Jenin Brigade.

Residents reported that the PA instructed fuel stations to withhold supplies from the camp. Additionally, PA forces allegedly shot at key electrical transformers, causing fires and worsening living conditions.
