Young Moroccan star shines at International Poetry Days

Saâd Benabid was the star of the Second International Poetry Days, which took place between March 16 and 19 in Marrakech. <i>Aujourd’hui Le Maroc</i> reports that 15 years old Saâd Benabid writes poems in classical Arabic and with his style and fluent language he reminds of the famous poet Nizar Kabani.

 

In the 2nd International Poetry Festival Benabid read a sad poem titled “anti Aina”, in which he tells the disappearance of his beloved. Born in 1990 in Casablanca, Benebaid has been writing poems for two years and he participated in several poetry contests organized by his school. Saâd Benabid stresses that poetry is his passion “I love to write. I find a lot from myself in poetry. I feel good when I write,” asid the young poet.
