Xerox Appoints Dicom As Master Distributor

Xerox, the market leader in document management solutions has announced the details of its new partnership with DICOM, a leading distributor and capture solutions provider in the Middle East and Africa region, supplying scanners from leading manufacturers. Building on its regional partner network, Xerox has appointed DICOM as their Master Distributor for Xerox’s complete scanner range. DICOM will be responsible for supplying and supporting Xerox scanners to Xerox’s current channel network as well as DICOM’s own channel across the Middle East and Levant.

This latest partner appointment by Xerox is part of the company’s strategic plans to expand their reach in the region. DICOM has a strong reputation in supplying imaging and capture solutions to businesses across the MEA region and handles an extensive portfolio of software products including Kofax suite that gives businesses the ability to deal with captured documents and route them to many document management systems.

DICOM will also provide the channel and businesses with added value in the shape of consultancy and support services which they can offer businesses with their document management strategies.

Xerox’s key objectives from this partnership are to augment their channel to market and bring award winning technologies to an expanded client base which is continuously growing.

DICOM will be looking after Xerox’s DocuMate™ series of workgroup scanners that combine the power of scanning, PDF file creation and document management, while offering the highest level of image quality and optical character recognition (OCR) accuracy.

All Xerox scanners come bundled with a powerful suite of document and image management applications, including OCR Capture and Kofax’s award-winning VirtualReScan™ (VRS) software, which improves image quality and increases overall efficiency of the scanning process for document management applications.
