The Prince of Wales sent on Saturday a warm video message to the participants of the Fez Festival for Sacred Music of the World. In his message, the British Prince affirmed that he shares with the Moroccan King, Mohammed VI, "the great hope that the religious and cultural institutions could help preserve the essential spirit of respect and friendship which marks the relations between the two countries."
Le Matin reports that the British Prince added that music "is a universal language which speaks to all nations and all people without distinction of color or belief." He added he was glad to join the honor committee of the Festival nine years ago (on an invitation from King Mohammed VI, then the Crown prince) "not only because of his deep respect to and great friendship with the King but also because of his great admiration for the Moroccan people".
