ALBAWABA - According to Israeli media, Israeli police suspected a guy of carrying an explosive device and opened fire on him at the entrance to the northern Israeli city of Tamra. The suspect may have been wearing a suicide belt, which is uncommon in recent years, according to authorities.
Large police reinforcements were sent to the scene to control the situation after the first suspicion. According to Channel 13, the inquiry into whether a planned bombing assault was prevented has subsequently been taken up by the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet).
In a different security incident, a Palestinian was stabbed in the Gan Nir settlement in the occupied West Bank, which is north of Jenin, according to Channel 12. Israeli officials ordered people to remain inside as security officers conducted a search after the perpetrator allegedly ran away.
