ALBAWABA - As regional tensions continue to rise, a number of Gulf nations reported fresh drone and missile assaults ascribed to Iran. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates all attested to the activation of their air defense systems to intercept approaching threats.

Authorities in Kuwait said that drones attacked the Mina Al-Ahmadi oil refinery, starting fires in several areas of the building. Officials confirmed that no casualties were recorded after emergency responders managed to contain the flames and stop more damage.

Defensive Reaction Throughout the Area

According to Kuwait's military officials, interception operations aimed at hostile missiles and drones were the cause of explosions reported in several areas of the nation. Additionally, officials denied any claims of radioactive leaks, stating that levels detected by monitoring equipment were normal.

The Ministry of Defense in the United Arab Emirates announced that drones and missiles were successfully intercepted by air defenses, stating that these defensive efforts were connected to the sounds audible in many locations.

As part of continuous efforts to control its airspace and safeguard vital infrastructure, Saudi Arabia stated that it has intercepted and destroyed several drones in a matter of hours.

As a precaution, Bahrain turned on warning sirens and advised citizens to take shelter and heed official instructions.

Continuous Regional Increase

Iran has described its activities as a reaction to Israeli and American military efforts, and the assaults are part of a larger confrontation that has been going on for weeks. The attacks have affected civilian infrastructure in a number of Gulf nations, despite Tehran's claims that it is aimed at American bases in the area.
