ALBAWABA - Concerns over President Joe Biden's suitability for office have heightened following a televised debate ahead of the November elections.

A new CBS News/You Gov poll reveals that 72% of Americans doubt Biden's "mental and cognitive health" meets the standards required for the presidency.

Of those surveyed, 46% of Democratic voters believe Biden should consider withdrawing from the race due to health concerns.

The poll also asked respondents about former President Donald Trump's fitness for office, with 50% expressing confidence in his mental and cognitive abilities, while 49% disagreed.

The recent CNN debate on June 27th, where Biden faced off against Republican rival Trump, failed to fully allay doubts about Biden's age and fitness for a potential second term, leading to widespread criticism post-event.

As debate intensifies within the Democratic Party about Biden's candidacy, Republican Congressman Chip Roy has announced plans to propose a resolution urging Vice President Kamala Harris to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden from office.
