The US ambassador to Amman, Edward William Gnehm Jnr, on Monday hailed the "enduring relationship" between the people of Jordan and the United States in the wake of deadly terror attacks in New York and Washington.
"On September 15 and 16 thousands of Jordanians offered condolences by coming to the US embassy or by sending telegrams, faxes or flower wreaths," Gnehm said in a statement to the press.
"This demonstrates the deep and enduring relationship between the people of Jordan and the United States," he said, expressing his deepest gratitude to all those who offered condolences to the families of the victims.
