UAE's ministry of health started Saturday distribution of the second compact disc of the health education encyclopedia to school students as part of its efforts to promote health awareness in the community, Khaleej Times reported Sunday.
The ministry is producing this CD encyclopedia through cooperation with the Ministry of Education and a specialist private company, highlighting basic health information required to promote awareness of the community about health issues in the country, the daily added.
Mariam Al Matroushi, Director of the Health Education and School Health Department, was quoted by the paper as saying that the ministry was keen to use information technology to promote its contacts with all groups in the community and upgrade their information about preventive measures against different health problems and diseases - Albawaba.com
