ALBAWABA - The pilot and their friend were killed after a small aircraft owned by the Al Jazira Air Sports Club fell into the water off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah, according to a statement made by UAE authorities today.

The event was reported to the General Civil Aviation Authority's (GCAA) Air Accident Investigation Sector. Investigations into the crash's causes are still ongoing by teams and relevant agencies.

Six crew members were among the 181 passengers on the Korean aircraft. But according to preliminary reports, bad weather and a bird attack caused it to crash and be destroyed, killing 179 passengers. Two crew members, a man and a woman, escaped.

38 persons were killed in the crash of the Azerbaijani airliner, which was shot down by fire from Russian territory when the defenses were on full alert to intercept Ukrainian drones.

For the first time, Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized in public to his Azerbaijani colleague Ilham Aliyev for this awful event.

Many experts still believe that aircraft are among the safest modes of transportation in the world, even in light of the many mishaps and issues that the massive Boeing corporation has encountered recently.
