ALBAWABA - In the early hours of Thursday a ramming incident in the West Bank city of Nablus, killing two Israeli soldiers.
An earlier report by the army revealed that a ramming incident was reported near an occupational settlement in Nablus without providing further details on the casualties resulting from the incident.
A manhunt was immediately launched in search of the attacker. The incident comes at a time when tension across the West Bank has been at an all time high as Israel continues its ongoing brutal aggression on Gaza that has so far killed 36,000+ people so far, most of whom are children.
The West Bank has witnessed a surge in violence against Palestinians since October 7, with almost daily storming of cities and neighborhoods in addition to brutal settler attacks.
Following the ramming, scores of Israeli occupational forces stormed the Balata camp, injuring at least three people by shrapnel from live bullets during the raid.
Ahmad Jibril, the Red Crescent's media spokesperson, stated that medical personnel treated three people injured by shrapnel from Israeli gunfire during a raid inside the Balata camp, according to WAFA. He noted that the victims were targeted in the head, chest, and back and that they were treated on the scene.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
