In the presence of representatives of the diplomatic corps situated in Algiers, businessmen, journalists and artists attended the launch of the Tunisian Cultural and Gastronomical Fair in Algeria. The event is held at the El-Aurassi hotel in Algiers. <i>Liberte Algerie</i> reports that this seven-day annual fair lies in the framework of the cultural exchanges between the two countries and is aimed at presenting the "richness and variety of Tunisia's two economic pillars, its culture and cuisine."
Apart from the traditional fashion show, the inauguration evening also included a unique painting exhibition illustrating traditional Tunisian festivities such as marriage ceremonies in different regions of that country.
